How long does a website take?

We usually send your free preview within a week. Once you approve it and pay the build fee, we take around a week to finish your website to the best possible standard and get it live. Bigger projects with booking systems can take a little longer, and we'll always give you a date up front.

Do I own my website?

Yes. Your domain and website content are yours. If you ever cancel, you keep them, and we'll send you a copy of your website files on request. Hosting and maintenance end when your subscription ends.

Can you work with my existing branding?

Absolutely. If you already have a logo and colours we'll build on them. If you don't have them yet, we'll design a clean, professional look to match your business.

How do payments work?

Your preview is free, with no obligation. You only pay if you love it and want it to go live. After launch, your monthly plan is £29.99, £79.99 or £99.99 depending on your package, with no minimum term. You can cancel anytime.

Can I make changes to my website?

While you're on a monthly plan, we look after all changes for you. Just send us what you'd like updated, and small updates are free for the first month. Every site also comes with a short recorded walkthrough of your new website. If you ever leave your plan, we'll send you your website files on request, so you or anyone you choose can edit them.

How do you measure results?

On the Professional plan, we track form submissions, calls and bookings from your website, then send you a plain-English report each month showing how many enquiries came in and which channel they came from.

    1. About us

    These terms apply to the website design and monthly services provided by Desk2Web, a trading name of Kelan Watson, a sole trader. Our address is 27 Drovers Way, Pirton, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, SG5 3EQ.

    You can contact us at contact@desk2web.com. "We", "us" and "our" mean Desk2Web. "You" and "your" mean the business ordering our services.

    Our services are for businesses only. By ordering, you confirm that you are acting for the purposes of your trade, business or profession (including as a sole trader), and not as a consumer.

    2. Free previews

    When you request a free preview, we design a sample of your website at no cost to you. There is no obligation to go ahead, and you do not owe us anything if you decide not to proceed.

    The preview design, code and any content we create for it remain our property until you choose a package and pay the build fee. You may not copy, publish or ask someone else to recreate a preview without paying for it.

    We may decline a preview request at our discretion, for example if the business or content is unlawful or harmful.

    3. Packages and prices

    Our current packages are:

    • Starter: £399.99 one-off build fee, then £29.99 a month.
    • Professional: £699.99 one-off build fee, then £79.99 a month.
    • Growth: £999.99 one-off build fee, then £99.99 a month.

    What each package includes is described on our pricing section at the time you order. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices. Domain name registration and third-party costs (such as paid plugins, booking software or email accounts) are not included unless we agree otherwise in writing.

    4. Going ahead and payment

    You can go ahead by confirming your chosen package by email, or by paying online through our secure checkout. A contract is formed when we confirm your order in writing, or when your online payment is completed.

    When you order, you must give accurate details and be 18 or over.

    The one-off build fee is payable straight away when you confirm your order. Once it is paid, we take around a week to finish your website to the best possible standard before it goes live. Your first monthly payment is taken on the 1st of the month after your website goes live, and then on the 1st of each month after that, in advance.

    If a payment is more than 14 days late, we may suspend your website or services until it is paid. We will always contact you before doing this.

    5. Changes and revisions

    We include reasonable changes to your design before launch. Large changes to the agreed scope, such as extra pages or features beyond your package, may be quoted separately and we will always tell you the cost before doing the work.

    6. Your responsibilities

    You agree to provide the information, text, images and logins we reasonably need, and to make sure you have the right to use any content you send us, including screenshots, photos, logos and text. You are responsible for the accuracy of your business information on your website, such as prices, opening hours and legal notices.

    You must not ask us to publish anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory or that infringes someone else's rights.

    7. Monthly plans and cancelling

    Monthly plans have no minimum term. You can cancel anytime by emailing contact@desk2web.com. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for, and we do not refund part-months.

    If you cancel, you keep ownership of your domain and your website content, and we will provide a copy of your website files on request. Hosting and ongoing maintenance end when your subscription ends, so your website will no longer be online through Desk2Web after that date.

    8. Ownership

    Once you have paid the build fee in full, you own the content we create specifically for your website and you can use it for your business. Your own content, logos and trademarks always remain yours. We keep ownership of our general tools, templates, code libraries and know-how, and give you a licence to use them as part of your website.

    We may show your website in our portfolio and marketing, including screenshots. If you would rather we didn't, just tell us.

    9. Third-party services

    Your website may rely on services we don't control, such as hosting, domain registrars, Google Business, maps, booking tools and social media platforms. We are not responsible for outages, changes or charges made by those providers, but we will help where we reasonably can.

    10. Results

    We build websites to help you get found and receive more enquiries, but we cannot guarantee specific search rankings, traffic, enquiries or sales, as these depend on many things outside our control.

    11. Our liability

    We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

    Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, business or data. Our total liability to you under any contract is limited to the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

    12. Ending the agreement

    Either of us may end the agreement if the other seriously breaks these terms and does not put it right within 14 days of being asked to. We may also end it with 30 days' notice for any reason, in which case we will refund any fees paid in advance for services we will not provide.

    13. Changes to these terms

    We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you place your order applies to that order. If we make important changes that affect your monthly plan, we will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance, and you can cancel before they take effect.

    14. Law and disputes

    These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you have a complaint or any legal question about these terms, please email contact@desk2web.com first and we will do our best to put things right.
